You know when a young lady wonders if a young man really likes her, she will sometimes pull off the petals of a flower one at a time and say with each petal, “He loves me.”  “He loves me not.”  Then, whenever she pulls off the last petal, she will be saying either “He loves me” or “He loves me not.”  Supposedly, whatever she says last is right!

If she ends with “He loves me not,” she might feel sad.  Or if she ends counting the last petal and says, “He loves me,” she might be really happy.

Well, this could be fun, but it is not the way to really know about your love!  You are just guessing!

Do you wonder if God loves you?  We can know the truth by reading the Bible.  The Bible says that He loves us so much that He gave His Son to die for us! (John 3:16).  He says He doesn’t want any of us to die in our sins and go to hell!

2 Peter 3:9 says, “God does not want any of us to die and go to hell, but He wants all to repent.”

We need to remember…

GOD REALLY LOVES US!

Romans 8:35-39 says, “Can anything separate us from the love Christ has for us? Can troubles or problems or sufferings or hunger or nakedness or danger or violent death?  As it is written in the Scriptures: “For you we are in danger of death all the time.  People think we are worth no more than sheep to be killed.” But in all these things we are completely victorious through God who showed his love for us. Yes, I am sure that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor ruling spirits, nothing now, nothing in the future, no powers, nothing above us, nothing below us, nor anything else in the whole world will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Accept Jesus’ love and rest in His love!  Don’t guess!  Follow Him and know that He (God) loves you!

Charity, love, embrace

Cherish deep from the heart

These are the messages, the actions,

The feelings I want to impart.

From the womb, from the day we first met

In the beginning when we connected, I did start

Leaving the embroidery of love that God has stitched

The etchings placed in me – AGAPE love shown in every part.

Love is not expressed in just one way –

But it is creative.

Love is gently sown in touch, companionship, sweet words, kind deeds and gifts –

It is imaginative.

In everything we do, love is the “how” and “what” we should live

To truly find joy one must thrive in charity and an overflowing desire to give.

Love isn’t just fluffy – it isn’t some trivial game, just happenstance or a lark.

It is more than simple letters in a heart carved in tree bark

Neither should it be reckless like a kite or balloon released in the park.

LOVE is carried, held, and administered – it is an act of commitment that brings light from the lonely dark.

LOVE is a straight arrow.

It travels on the course with God – on the straight and narrow.

What is love?

It is the picture of claiming like being chosen for a team

Or as God claimed His Son by sending down a dove.

Well done, my good and faithful servant,

This is my son, in whom I am well-pleased – these are statements of belonging –

That show we belong to the Father above.

What is true love?

Belonging to the Father above.

What is true love?

Peace and joy with His nod.

Love is to walk with God.
